GERMICIDE 27

Product Description

Germicide 27 is a non oxidising biocide which is effective against aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, mould, fungi and yeast’s.

Applications

Germicide 27 is the recommended treatment for all types of infections in all water based wire drawing lubricant systems. Controlling micro-organisms is imperative in aqueous emulsion systems as their reproductive capacity is such that the population can double every 20 minutes under favourable conditions and as their source of nutrients are the components of the metal working fluid the emulsion can be destroyed.

Packing, Storage and Handling

Store the product indoors in a cool dry place, avoid temperature extremes. Handle the product with care, wear rubber gloves and eye protection. Available in 5
and 20 litre containers.

Use

Germicide 27 can be added to the fluid whilst the machine is in use. The recommended dosage is 0,1 % (1000 ppm) for a shock dose, this will kill all infections within 48 hours. The maintenance dosage required is 0,025 to 0,05 % (250 to 500 ppm), both these dosages are based on system volume.
